Obituary of Janie Bishop

January 6, 1920 - November 11, 2015 Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Wednesday, November 11, 2015, Janie Bishop of Blackhead, age 95 years. Predeceased by husband: Ernest; daughter-in-law: Judy; parents: John and Eliza Reid; step-mother: Hannah; sisters: Nellie, Ella and Gertie; brothers: Eric, Harvey and George. Leaving to mourn, one daughter: Marie Oakley; three sons: John, Guy (Peg Hoskins) and Emrys (Edith); ten grandchildren: Jason (Meghan), Chad (Elaine), Gary, Karen (Wayne), Kellie (Steve), Danielle (Chad), Tara (Jeff), Scott (Judy), Reid (Renee) and Mark; thirteen great-grandchildren; sisters: Olive Mallan, Beryl Clarke, Phyllis Mizner and Joyce Miller; very special caregiver: Paul Butt; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Main Highway, Western Bay on Friday, Nov. 13 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 14 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 15 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Funeral service to take place on Sunday, November 15 at 2:00 p.m. from Noel's Memorial Chapel, Western Bay. Interment in the United Church Cemetery, Blackhead.
