Passed peacefully away at the University of Alberta Hospital, Edmonton, AB on Friday, July 24, 2015, Douglas Burden of Carbonear, age 56 years. Predeceased by mother: Hazel, grandparents: Douglas and Bertha Burden, Douglas and Malina Nicholl and great-aunt: Millie. Leaving to mourn, father: Gerald, Carbonear; one brother: Scott (Helena), Barrie, ON and their children, Melissa and Courtney; two sisters: Brenda (Juan Flores Jr.), Durham, North Carolina and her children, Katie and Amanda, Cynthia (Keith) Goldworthy, Carbonear and their children, Leanne and Mark; also a large number of other relatives and friends. The family will receive relatives and friends at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear on Sunday, Sept. 20 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Monday, Sept. 21 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Funeral service to take place on Monday, September 21 at 2:00 p.m. from Noel's Memorial Chapel, Carbonear. Inurnment in Bethany United Cemetery, Carbonear.
