Obituary of Barbara L. Penney

(September 17, 1939 - August 6, 2015) Passed peacefully away in the presence of her loving family at the Health Sciences Centre, St. John's on Thursday, August 6, 2015, Barbara L. Penney of Carbonear, age 75 years. Predeceased by son: Cark; granddaughter: Hannah; parents: Augustus and Bertha Forward; brother: Bob; niece: Cindy. Leaving to mourn, husband: Carl; two daughters: Peggy Penney, St. John’s and Connie (Paul) Slade, Salmon Cove; two sons: Dave (Marg), Carbonear and Roger (Denise), Huntsville, ON; daughter-in-law: Debbie, Carbonear; ten grandchildren: Michelle (Peter), Michael (Angela), Keith (Suzy), Kristen (Paul), Chad (Jennifer), Alicia (Andrew), Joshua, Kyle, Ryan and Mila; five great-grandchildren: Max, Sarah, Liam, Madison, Kevin Chloe; two brothers: Lloyd (Shirley) Forward, Halifax, NS and Wendell (Helen) Forward, Ottawa, ON; three sisters: Rose (Willis) Warren, New Perlican, Georgie (Eric) Eddy, North Harbour and Phyllis (Bill) Davis, Ottawa, ON; sister-in-law: Shirley Forward, Carbonear and “like a second mom” to Lydia, Linda, Bill and Sean Penney; also a large number of nieces, nephews and other relatives and close friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear on Saturday and Sunday, 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon, 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., Monday, 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Funeral service to take place on Monday, August 10 at 2:00 p.m. from Bethany United Church, Carbonear. Interment in the Interfaith Cemetery, Carbonear.
