Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Sunday, August 2, 2015, Douglas M. Green of Lower Island Cove, age 62 years. Predeceased by parents: Job and Violet and sisters: Sharon and Eileen (Douglas) Tucker. Leaving to mourn, three brothers: Russell and Ralph (Mary), both of Lower Island Cove and Arthur (Ruby), Toronto, ON; one brother-in-law: William (Kay) Faulkner, Bonavista; nephews and nieces: Jerome, Ryan, Colleen, Crystal and Norman; as well as a number of great-nephews and great-nieces; special friends: Richard (Christine) Knapman, Joy Emberley and Joseph Garland, all of Lower Island Cove; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Memorial United Church, Burnt Point on Monday, 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., Tuesday, 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon, 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Wednesday 10:30 to 12:00 noon. Funeral service to take place on Wednesday, August 5 at 2:00 p.m. from Memorial United Church, Burnt Point. Interment in the United Cemetery, Lower Island Cove. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Douglas Green Memorial Fund c/o Noel’s Funeral Home, 106 Water Street, Carbonear, NL, A1Y 1A9
