Obituary of Walter M. Whalen

WHALEN, Walter M. (April 6, 1929 – March 24, 2015) Passed peacefully but suddenly away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Tuesday, March 24, 2015, Walter M. Whalen of Riverhead, Harbour Grace, age 85 years. Predeceased by daughter: Linda and parents: John and Mary. Leaving to mourn, wife: Elsie; daughter: Jackie (Byron) Moores, Victoria; two sons: Bob (Mary) Farrell and John, both of Riverhead, Harbour Grace; nine grandchildren: Bobbie Jo (Darren), Steven (Vanessa), Ryerson, Cody, Jesse, Nicole, Jake, Chad and Jonathan; eleven great-grandchildren; special friends: Jim and Joyce Whalen, Riverhead, Harbour Grace; a number of brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law and other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Harvey Street, Harbour Grace on Wednesday, 7:30 to 9:00 p.m. and Thursday, 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon, 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral Mass to take place on Friday, March 27 at 10:30 a.m. from St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Riverhead, Harbour Grace. Interment in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Harbour Grace. As an expression of sympathy, flowers are gratefully accepted or donations in his memory may be made to the Walter M.
