PARSONS, Ben - Passed peacefully away at Dr. Leonard A. Miller Centre, St. John's, on Friday, March 6, 2015, Ben Parsons of Victoria, age 69 years. Predeceased by wife: Shirley, infant daughter: Paula, parents: Benjamin and Mary; brother: Lloyd, sister: Georgina White, brothers-in-law: Roy White and John Peckham. Leaving to mourn, one son: Scott Parsons, Thickett, Riverhead, Harbour Grace; four grandchildren: Amanda, Michael, Ashley and Dylan; five great-grandchildren; four brothers: John (Helen), Thickett, Riverhead, Harbour Grace, Gerald (Marguerite), Kitchener, ON, Roy (Shirley), Victoria and Joey (Marylou), ON; three sisters: Alice Peckham, Carbonear, Mary (Everett) Baldwin, Victoria and Glenda (Reginald) Byrne, Thickett, Riverhead, Harbour Grace; sister-in-law: Christine Parsons, Victoria; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear on Saturday, 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., Sunday, 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Funeral service to take place on Sunday, March 8 at 2:00 p.m. from Noel's Memorial Chapel, Carbonear. Cremation to follow. A private family burial at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Children’s Wish Foundation, 31 Peet Street, St. John’s, NL A1B 3P8 or to donate online visit childrenwish.ca
