TRAVERSE, Winnifred A. - Passed peacefully away at the Interfaith Citizen’s Home, Carbonear on Sunday, February 8, 2015, Winnifred A. Traverse of Kingston, age 92 years. Predeceased by husband: Richard; son: Alex; daughter: Elizabeth; granddaughter: Sara Beth; sisters: Johanna and Minnie; brother: Joey. Leaving to mourn, four daughters: Madeline (Raymond) King, Kingston, Mary (Sylvester) Woodfine, Gull Island, Catherine (Junior) Sellars and Bernadette (Bruce) Millley, both of Western Bay; seven sons: Joseph (Margaret) and Michael, both of Kingston, Kevin (Carol Ann), Buchans, Anthony (Karen LeGrow), Broad Cove, David (Theresa) and Gerard (Beverly), both of Small Point, Edward (Cynthia), Bay Roberts; twenty-four grandchildren; twenty-eight great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; sister: Kathleen Hurley, Toronto, ON; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Main Highway, Western Bay on Monday from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., Tuesday from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon, 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Funeral mass to take place on Wednesday, February 11 at 2:00 p.m. from St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Kingston. Interment in St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Cemetery, Kingston. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in her memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
