KENNEDY, Patrick J. - Passed peacefully away at his residence on Sunday, February 8, 2015, Patrick J. Kennedy of Carbonear, age 82 years. Predeceased by wife: Flora; parents: Dagleton and Elizabeth; parents-in-law: Alexander and Christine Hogan; brothers: William and Michael. Leaving to mourn, six daughters: Sharon (Steven) Leonard, Ottawa, ON, Diane Kennedy (Noel) and Carolyn (Gerry) Ryan, both of Carbonear, Joanne (Stephen) Walsh, Goulds, Judy (Gary) Hoyles, Carbonear and Denise (John) Sheppard, Conception Bay South; three sons: Jerome (Rachel), St. John’s, Paul (Ann Marie), Harbour Grace and David (Cindy), Carbonear; sixteen grandchildren: Julia, Michael, Shawn, Jennifer, Nicole (Bright), Emily, Mark, Ben, Jack, Megan, Matthew, Hailee, Joshua, Jacob, Madison and Sophie; one great-grandson: Elijah; sister: Hannah Thomey, St. John’s; sisters-in-law: Bridget Crawford, Carbonear and Betty Kennedy, Gander; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear on Monday from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Tuesday from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon, 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral mass to take place on Wednesday, February 11 at 10:30 a.m. from St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church, Carbonear. Interment in St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Cemetery, Carbonear. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in his memory may be made to the Dialysis Unit at the Carbonear General Hospital c/o the TCP Health Foundation, 86 Highroad South, Carbonear, NL, A1Y 1A4.
