PENNEY, Vera - Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Saturday, January 10, 2015, Vera Penney of Harbour Grace; formerly of Victoria, age 69 years. Predeceased by husband: Leslie; parents: Charl and Martha Anne Cole; twin brother: Dave and sister: Jessie. Leaving to mourn, daughter: Marlene, Harbour Grace; son: Carl (Andrea Pike), Harbour Grace; grandson: Nathan; brother: Charl Cole, Victoria; two sisters: Evelyn (Austin) Piercey, South River and Marjorie (Ferg) Flynn, Placentia; close friends: Betty and Phil Yetman and Terry Bennett, all of Ontario, Irene and Bern Fitzpatrick, Carbonear; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Harvey Street, Harbour Grace on Sunday from 7:30 to 9:00 p.m., Monday from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon, 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Tuesday from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Funeral service to take place on Tuesday, January 13 at 2:00 p.m. from Noel's Funeral Home, Harbour Grace. Interment in the United Cemetery, Victoria.
